Mycorrhizal - Pinecones and Cortinarius - Zero Waste Worsted
Naturally dyed with pinecones and Cortinarius mushrooms. Fungi and trees have what is called a mycorrhizal relationship - this type of relationship is mutually beneficial. Cortinarius mushrooms have a symbiotic relationship with pine trees, so using these two dye materials together to create this colorway was only natural.
The Zero Waste Worsted collection makes use of the exhaust dye baths from previous dye projects, ensuring that the dye source has been fully exhausted of all of its color potential.
